Dear friends, supporters and mentors,
The construction of the Amor Community Library and Community Hall is still on hold until we can raise the money to start Phase 2. We are two months into our fundraiser at Generosity.com (https://www.generosity.com/education-fundraising/a-library-to-lift-up-a-community-phase-ii), and so far we have raised 14% of our $10,114 goal. We hope to have it complete by the end of the year. Many thanks to everyone who has donated to all phases of the library so far. If you have not already, please share the fundraiser on Facebook to help us get the word out!
Here are a few pictures of the current state of the library, taken in July 2015.
Once the library is finished, of course, we will need lots of books to fill it up. To help us with that, our friend Natasha is running a book drive On April 22 & 23 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. If you live in the area, please drop by the intersection of Court and Warren (https://goo.gl/maps/h2BQPaVffGD2) with a few books you no longer need and lend your support to Natasha! See the flyer below.
